IL PONTE RESTAURANT IS LOCATED IN TROGIR, A CITY WITH ONE OF THE BEST-PRESERVED OLD TOWN CENTRES IN DALMATIA, FOUNDED IN THE 3RD CENTURY BC. THE RESTAURANT IS IN THE IMMEDIATE VICINITY OF A WOODEN BRIDGE, HENCE ITS NAME (THE ITALIAN WORD PONTE MEANS A BRIDGE).

The old Romanesque-Gothic core of the city is situated on the island, and it is connected with the mainland with a footbridge and a stone bridge. The restaurant is on the mainland part of the town, from where it offers an unforgettable view of Trogir, a city on the UNESCO world heritage list. In the foreground is a view of the sensational architecture of St. Marc’s tower built in the 15th century during the rule of the Republic of Venice.

The interior of the restaurant features a trendy and modern design. In front of it is a glazed terrace, completely open in summer, right next to the canal where local boats gently sway.

The restaurant layout is particularly interesting because of its wine room which is situated below sea level. There, you can enjoy a rich selection of mainly Croatian wines. But that is not all – there are also several comfortable and beautiful rooms above the restaurant where you can spend the night.

Media-famous chef Tomislav Vukadin, a member of the jury of the Master Chef Croatia culinary show for three seasons, has created the restaurant’s clear gastronomic strategy – the modernization of Dalmatian cuisine. Their menu includes many classics of the Croatian Adriatic cuisine with chef Vukadin’s original and very successful twist.
